The Guardian Model 1384-A is ideal for schools, churches, boats, daycare centers or any location utilizing a residential kitchen range.
The Model 1384-A automatically detects and extinguishes residential kitchen range top fires, shuts off the appliance and warns occupants of a fire.
In the event of a stovetop fire, one of the four fusible or reusable links will separate releasing the cable tension. A tension spring then automatically opens the extinguisher valve which discharges extinguishing agent through the piping system and appliance nozzles to the stovetop. Simultaneously, a micro switch activates a range top shut-off device (gas or electric) and alarm or other electrical accessory.
The Model 1384-A has successfully completed exhaustive Underwriters Laboratory (U.L.) and Underwriters Laboratory Canada (U.L.C.) testing as well as response time testing by the United States Air Force, which carries the additional Department of Defense Certification.
