| CPU Board
Continuous Alarm
Check the following: (See FIGURE 3)
- Terminals are tight on P1 terminal strip.
-
Sensor cable wires are not shorted or frayed.
- Open or bad connection to solenoid release valve.
- Replace one sensor at a time.
Solenoid I Mechanical Valve
No Activation
Check the following: (See FIGURE 3)
-
Terminals are tight on P1-8 & 9.
-
Verify the red wire goes to P1-8 and the black wire goes to P1-9.
-
Use a Multimeter to measure the signal on P1-8 (+) and P1-9 (-) during system checkout. See "Auxiliary and Solenoid Release Valve" section for instructions. If signal does not appear, replace CPU board. If indication of signal exist perform next step.
-
Disconnect wires from P1-8 & P1-9. Use a 9-volt battery and place the red wire on positive and the black wire on negative. If solenoid DOES NOT ACTIVATE use a Multimeter to measure the resistance between the two wires. The resistance should be approximately 190 ohms. If no resistance, replace solenoid.
Electric Shutoff
Check the following:
Visual Check
Verify the configuration and determine if the electric shutoff is Sonic or Non-sonic or if it is 3 Prong, 4 Prong or Hardwired
No Power:
- Verify power is getting to stove by turning on burner. If no power, disconnect electric shutoff and plug stove directly into the wall.
-
If power to stove exist plugging directly into wall, replace electric shutoff.
- For hardwired versions, have an electrician verify power is supplied to stove through electric shutoff.

Sonic
No Sonic Activation
Verify db level (loudness) is adequate by opening cabinet doors and moving stove away from wall. If electric shutoff does not activate, replace shutoff. If electric shutoff activates, installation of a remote alarm may be necessary to compensate for the type of cabinet. Non-Sonic
No Activation
Verify that wires are connected correctly and the termination points on the CPU bard and electric shutoff printed circuit board are not loose. If connections are good, verify auxiliary output.
Gas Shutoff
Sonic
No activation
Verify db level (loudness) is adequate by opening cabinet doors and moving stove away from wall. If gas shutoff does not activate, replace shutoff. If gas shutoff activates, installation of a remote alarm may be necessary to compensate for the type of cabinet.
Non-Sonic
No Activation
Verify that wires are connected correctly and the termination points on the CPU bard and electric shutoff printed circuit board are not loose. If connections are good, verify auxiliary output.
