| INSTALLATION OF ELECTRIC STOVE
SONIC ACTIVATED SHUTOFF
NOTE: Insure electric stove sonic activated shutoff is installed within the same room as the control processing unit control board (Part #G302) for proper unit operation.
-
Turn off electricity to the range.
- Identify your electric plug configuration; 3-prong, 4-prong or hardwire. (See FIGURES 10, 11 and 12).
- Remove the stove power cord from the wall outlet and plug it into the outlet on the sonic stove shutoff unit (See FIGURE 9).
- Insert the sonic stove shutoff power cord into the wall outlet.
- Turn on electricity to range.

RESET STOVE
-
The electric stove sonic shutoff unit may be reset by locating the circuit breaker supplying power to the stove and turning it off and then back on; or
- Momentarily unplugging the unit from the wall outlet and plugging it back in.
NOTE: This method requires the stove circuit breaker to be in the ON position. Method one (1) is preferable since the stove does not need to be moved.
NON-SONIC VERSION
Description Typical interface connections for the electric sonic shutoff are illustrated. In some cases a non-sonic version of the shutoff device may be required. If this is the case, the audible alarm is not required to shut off the stove even though it is still provided. This is accomplished by the main CPU board switching the auxiliary output. The "COM" and "N/O" contacts complete the circuit, which activates both the electric or gas shutoff. See below for direct wiring interface.
HARDWIRED SHUTOFF
Description
Note: This configuration can include the Non-Sonic version.
This option is available on the electric shut off if the power cord and receptacle are not needed. See FIGURE 12. |
